*Vainglory servers run at 10 tickrate; thus, all numbers related to time are rounded up to the nearest tenth. Client-side, time is tracked precisely, so any time lost by rounding will be made up for with an extra basic attack once enough lost time accumulates.

As stated above, Lyra’s BAT is 0.7 (attack cooldown) + 0.3 (attack delay) + 0.2 (no stutter step penalty), which is 1.2 seconds in total.

If Lyra chooses to unleash a light-heavy basic attack combo, her BAT will be so: 0.3 (attack delay of light attack) + 0.9 (attack delay of heavy attack) + 0.2 (no stutter step penalty). In addition, Lyra’s next attack is placed on an increased cooldown of 1.2 (up from 0.7). This means that stutter-stepping provides only an 8.33% damage boost (down from 20%) if light-heavy combo is used.

Autoattack

Lyra’s Base Attack Time is 0.7 (attack cooldown) + 0.3 (attack delay) + 0.2 (no stutter step penalty), which is 1.2 seconds in total.

If Lyra chooses to unleash a light-heavy basic attack combo, her BAT will be so: 0.3 (attack delay of light attack) + 0.9 (attack delay of heavy attack) + 0.2 (no stutter step penalty). A

The seal from A lasts for 12 seconds if no one or only full health heroes are on it.

The seal lasts for 3 seconds if only one allied hero is on it, and is being healed by it.

Overdrive B if your team has 3 utility heroes or the enemy has an engage composition. A otherwise.

Counters

General

Difficulty - Hard

Usually played in the role of captain, and very rarely in the other roles. She is considered one of the strongest captains currently.

Strengths

Healing

CC (slow on AA and B, B provides zoning stops all dashes comping through the wall)

Portal - C is a very versatile and powerful ability, more details in the "tips" section.

Weaknessess

Squishy compared to most other captains.

Power Spikes

level 2 (bully enemy mid with passive and 2 points in A)
level 9 (level 2 portal)
level 12 (level 3 portal)

Counters

Yates - position properly

Weak Against

Viola - stronger lane phase

Poisoned Shiv - Mortal Wound reduces healing and barriers from A and support items

Spellfire - Mortal Wound reduces healing and barriers from A and support items

Lyra's B can shutdown high mobility heroes, such as assassins.

Two frontliners so she does not have to tank everything and can hang around healing and looking for portal opportunities. Some front liners: Ardan, Catherine, Grace, Lance, Phinn, San Feng

Heroes that require zoning, such as Magnus

Engage comps

Kies, EU, T10 Silver

Level 1/2 - start banner level 1 to help with taking early cp buffs. you can hit your own twice or, if the enemy support doesn't have a banner (they prob dont in ce) you have time to hit your own once then quickly go to the enemy one to finish it. use A before face checking enemy bush then you can pop it for the speed boost when leaving put the first two levels into your A ability unless they have a melee support that isn't phinn/yates. if you don't need the healing you can use it to poke the enemy midlaner but watch your energy Ability upgrades - if your team has 3 utility or they enemy team has an engage comp, overdrive B. otherwise (most games), overdrive A. then ult. Passive - don't overuse it early game, you will run out of energy really quickly. just stutter step and use the passive when the enemy is leaving range so it's essentially a free hit they can't return. late game use it to slow carries when you're in a safe position. A ability - speed boost is just as important as the heal. pop it just as your team mate is leaving it/quickly use it on them when they are chasing or kiting. heals more if you don't pop it yourself so obviously don't do that if they're low hp and not moving/in danger B- think about when the enemy want to engage beforehand, keep an eye on the engage heroes and try stop their dive ability. especially good for stopping ardan gauntlet, kensei ult, etc. at max rank it does 50% slow so also good for that and decent amount of damage.

ult- highest impact ability in the game, click then look at map and use the same way you'd use a kestrel ult. good thing to do is learn exactly when it expires and go back through again right before it does offense/ use when grouped and enemies are out of position/unprepared. use b instantly defence/ if you're low hp or your ally is out of position hover back and portal them out. especially good to use when they get stunned, slept or rooted. always be looking for opportunities to do this because it looks cool! escape/ use b then portal to safety, enemies cant follow when the b is up.
